A debate about Wilfred Cantwell Smith and the origin of Religious Pluralism
The debate took place at Essex House in London on 18 June 2009.
The particpants were:
Imam Abduljalil Sajid, International Secretary of the World Congress of Faiths,
Chairman of the Council for Religious and Racial Harmony UK,
President National Association of British Pakistanis,
Link Officer Brighton and Hove Interfaith Contact Group for National and International Inter-faith matters, and
European Representative of World Council of Muslims Inter-faith Relations
Rev Dr Marcus Braybrooke, President of the World Congress of Faiths.
Co-Founder of the Three Faiths Forum, and Patron of the International Interfaith Centre at Oxford and a Peace Councillor.
and
Richard Boeke, a Unitarian Minister & Vice President of the World Congress ofFaiths. As a Chaplain in the US Air Force, he saw Atomic Bombs. His University thesis focused on survivors of Hiroshima and "SURVIVOR GUILT."
